Beekman Beauty Box Review, January 2017

I discovered Beekman 1802 during the holidays this year, and we’ve been having a little love affair ever since! I dig all things natural, and the Beekman Boys (Josh & Brent) do not disappoint! I decided to try the Beekman Beauty Box, but they also have a cheese box, an artisanal food box, a candle box and an almanac subscription you may want to check out as well. The FOOD, OMG! They have really cute goats, too. I browsed their online shop and basically want EVERYTHING – the dishes, the bedding/pillows, the home decor, the kitchen utensils – their stuff is way cool.

The Beekman Beauty Box is $50/quarter (recurring charge) and features a surprise box of their newest and bestselling soaps and skin care products – all made right there on their big farm. It’s really just that simple!

I am not a Beekman 1802 affiliate, and I pay for my subscription. Please note that while I do receive boxes free of charge to review from time to time, I *never* accept compensation in exchange for a positive review. All of my reviews are my honest, personal opinions and contain my own photography (unless otherwise stated).

Beekman Beauty Box Review, January 2017

I got a big huge brown non-descript box!

Inside, was a much prettier box with their logo on it.

It’s a REALLY pretty box! I love it when subscription boxes are nice enough to keep for storage – and this one definitely is. Tied with a twine ribbon; this lift-top box will be perfect for my beauty supplies! The presentation was super nice and I am impressed already.

Inside was stuffed with matching tissue paper, with everything packed really well.

And here we go! Five FULL SIZE beauty items! Beautifully labeled and packaged.

A sheet was included describing each item, and the total box value. The items chosen were described as the ‘newest personal favorites and classic bestsellers for the winter season; offering head-to-toe super moisturizing goat milk goodies’. Sweet! The total retail value of the box is $68, and because they offer free shipping for very heavy items (and no sales tax added on), they estimate a value (or savings) of between $38-47! Which is awesome! Obviously a great way to try out their products.

(Scent of) Winter Goat Milk Soap Bar, 8 oz. – Retail Value $10.

This is their “purest soap”; chemical-free and made with 100% homemade goat milk; no artificial anything. This soap is HUGE. It is a gigantic, heavy block, and if someone pissed you off while bathing, you could throw this soap at them and do serious damage. Also, BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DROP IT ON YOUR FOOT! This soap has a very subtle and pleasant scent; not perfume-y at all. Guys will be totally fine with it, and it leaves you feeling clean, fresh, soft & supple! I have this one in my main shower right now.

I like that is has coconut oil in it – I am a big believer in the benefits of it for your skin!

Oak Moss (Goat Milk) Bar Soap, 9 oz. – Retail Value $15.

This is a more typical bar-type soap, but is also very heavy. It isn’t as ‘pure’, but definitely has great natural ingredients and is paraben-free and sulfate-free; which is the most important part. (To me, at least.) This is a new scent for them, and is very pleasant; but a little sweeter and more feminine. I put this one in my guest bath, but when I finish the other soap, I will transfer this one over to my master bath. 🙂

All the ingredients are listed, and there is nothing upsetting in there.

Honeyed Grapefruit (Goat Milk) Hand Cream – Retail Value $15.

I typically don’t like ‘fruity’ scents, but grapefruit is one of my exceptions. The scent for this hand cream is not too overwhelming, and the texture is great! It is not greasy or oily AT ALL – seems like a more water-based cream to me. It goes on very smooth and my skin drank it in immediately. I grabbed some paperwork off of my desk afterwards, and my fingers left no greasy-marks on the paper at all! (Don’t you hate it when that happens?!?) According to the included info sheet, Josh (one of the ‘Beekman Boys’) swears it will make you 66% less grumpy when used in the morning. I’m not sure about that, but I’ll give it a whirl and ask around about my mood. I’m guessing I’ll still get told to finish my coffee. 😉

Wondermint Lip Balm – Retail Value $8.

This balm (described as more of a treatment) has a super minty fragrance! It is made with real mint extract and makes your lips feel super fresh and tingly! I love it! Mint is always good on the lips for kissin’ – hehe. I also love the pretty little tube it comes in – great to stick in my purse without the worry of the cap coming off and the lip balm getting weird lint and debris on it. This balm also stays ON my lips more than 30 seconds. After eating an entire Costco chocolate chip muffin, my lips were still supple and moisturized!

Linden (Goat Milk) Body Lotion – Retail Value $20.

This is a brand new scent for them, and I want to announce that it is now my all-time-favorite Body Lotion! I absolutely LOVE the scent! I’m not sure I could describe it – it is kind of a milky-fresh-linen-powder scent. I have it sitting on the counter in my bathroom, and put an abundance of it on every morning after showering. It goes on nicely, and at the end of the day when I’m taking all my under garments off – I still smell fresh & clean! It just doesn’t get any better than that! I will definitely be buying more of this, so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, KEEP MAKING IT!!

What a great selection of products! It indeed covers your needs from head to toe, and will keep your skin soft and nourished all winter long until the next (Spring) shipment! What do think? Are you going to try any Beekman 1802 products? I am going to continue my subscription!
