Hey there fellow box addicts! I’m reviewing a new-to-me box today called My Meraki Box. I love me some bling, and this box makes me very, very happy! The SUPER nice people over at Wristicuffs got me all excited about their jewelry through the Heart + Honey Box, which features their pieces quite often. Their jewelry is not only unique and trendy, but it is also really nice QUALITY. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know quality is very important to me – especially when it comes to jewelry. I have recently developed an obsession with semi-precious stones, and My Meraki Box was the absolute perfect match for me.
Wristicuffs started as a small, homegrown company and is now an indie jewelry design company offering several lines of accessories based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and their designs have been featured on display and in the gift bags at the 2014 Golden Globe and Emmys GBK Celebrity Gift Lounges! They have photos of several celebrities wearing their jewelry, which is fun to see. They became so popular that they decided to offer a monthly jewelry box, so My Meraki Box was born as a way to offer fans new exclusive designs for a greater value.

Each month, My Meraki Box will feature new exclusive designs, only available to My Meraki Box subscribers. To ensure you receive jewelry pieces that you will love for years to come, you will be able to log in and select your preference of either leather, gemstone or metal color options. We will use this information to create customized jewelry just for you in a design and color you are sure to love! Each month will feature 3+ brand new Wristicuffs designs, exclusive to My Meraki Box. Every month My Meraki Box will contain jewelry pieces handcrafted in our studio with a minimum $100 retail value.
They offer month-to-month, 3-month and 6-month subscriptions starting at $59.99; with a lower cost per box for longer subscription commitments. Upon subscribing, you are asked to fill out a short form that asks you what your favorite colors are, as well as your not-so-favorite colors, and how you would describe your personal style. I described my style as ‘Edgy Boho’ leaning toward the darker hues of blues, greens, browns, black & grey. I tell you this because each box is designed specifically with your tastes in mind, so you will see my boxes tailored to my style. Your box may look completely different!

My Meraki Box Review, April 2018
It comes in a small, cute black box around the first week of the month; and the My Meraki Box motto? “Because no woman ever has said she has too much jewelry.”

I love this! I want to convey this in MY work!
Packaged nicely and tied with a ribbon, we are greeted with a card insert.
Bags, and bling, and bauble, oh my!
NOTE: An email went out before boxes shipped this month that let subscribers know there was a delay with the necklace, and that the delayed item would be shipping separately so that we wouldn’t have to wait to get our boxes! To me this is great customer service. The necklace box is not pictured here since I received it later, but you will see it reviewed below.
The theme for April is “The Flora Collection”; obviously inspired by Spring!
The insert describes all the items possible inside the box. There was also a special announcement for April subscribers – you get the usual 3 unique exclusive items + a thank you item, BUT YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL piece from their shop collection! Score!
Before your box goes out, you are emailed with a customization selection for one of your pieces. These were the selections for April:

This particular choice was a no-brainer for me, I really like the Rutilated Quartz!

I made such a good choice, didn’t I?? This Rutilated Quartz beaded bracelet has a sterling silver floral charm to go with ‘The Flora Collection’ theme. It is lovely and feminine.
Many semi-precious stones have meaning and healing properties; and here is what I found on Rutilated Quartz, which is considered the “Guardian Angel”.
I really like the silver bar accent on the bracelet as well, it makes the whole ensemble so unique!
These are beautiful, high quality beads, and I can use as many angels as possible on my side!
Next, we have a fancy little box – and a familiar one, too! The Wristicuffs jewelry pieces that have been featured in the Heart + Honey Box were also packaged in these. I keep these boxes; they are great for gifts or storage.

Here we have another exclusive piece from ‘The Flora Collection’; a sterling silver chain (and chain extender), featuring a sterling silver flower pendant with gold accents. This is a mixed-metal necklace that is small in size, but big in character! I love the feminine vibe and have come to appreciate more dainty pieces, of late. I used to only wear larger statement pieces, but have received quite a few more conservative ones in subscription boxes over the last two years and didn’t know realize how much I like them! One of the wonderful things about boxes; broadening your horizons and finding things out about yourself you would have never known otherwise.

Here it is on Ezmerelda. (Ezmerelda is my dress form. I name everything. EVERYTHING.)
Here it is on me. Notice it is a bit short on my beefy neck. Ezmerelda is thick like me, too (that’s why I chose her), so it should hang a little longer on a normal-sized-neck person. I actually prefer shorter necklaces (chokers are my fav!), so this worked out great for me.
A little closer in to see the gold detail in the center of the flower – I just love it!

This earring duo was one of two options subscribers would receive. The other choice was an additional sterling silver Flora Collection necklace with a gold highlight. I’m assuming that the second necklace option was meant for subscribers who do not have pierced ears.

The mixed-metal and detail in these studs is so neat.
These threaded earrings are so completely awesome! I don’t have anything even remotely close to this style in my own collection. I love how the necklace and earrings all have little gold accents in the center of the flowers. It’s genius!
I can’t even describe to you how much I LOVE THIS EARRING DUO! They are so unique, and so pretty on. The photos don’t do them justice. I have been wearing them for a week straight, now!! They work well for my double-pierced ears, and match the necklace and Rutilated Quartz beaded bracelet perfectly for a one-of-kind floral set.
“Ginger” Beaded Bracelet Set – Retail Value $69.99
This was my bonus piece from the Wristicuffs collection. They could not have chosen better! Seriously! Earthy browns are one of my favorite colors in the Spring & Summer, since I spend so much time outside. This is the coolest bracelet EVER! And my bonus item was the most expensive piece in the box!! I’m way too thrilled!!!
You can wear them separately or as a set.

I like this bracelet so much, that I used it as a photography prop for some of my new natural skincare products! My Meraki Box jewelry is multi-purpose for me! LOL!

This is a really cute and colorful coin purse, made by fair trade Peruvian artisans. Each My Meraki Box comes with a small bonus item as a token of thanks for your subscription.
It has two zippered compartments; one for bills/credit cards, and one for coins? OR, it could be used for jewelry when traveling, OR…
…as an Essential Oil travel pouch! Which is the purpose I chose for it. 😎
I don’t go anywhere without my oils, and the little side zipper pouch could hold my new stud earrings, or a lip gloss – and I’m good to go!
So, for April there were 4 items (not including the fair trade bonus pouch), so the average price for each piece is $15. In their shop, their average prices seem to run about $34.99 – $44.99, so this is a killer deal no matter what! HOWEVER, if you add up the estimated retail value of THIS box, you get $250.95!! Holy crap!! This is a phenomenal deal for a $59.99 box, folks, and WAY above their promised value of $100!
I am BEYOND impressed with my first My Meraki Box ! I have been wearing all these pieces constantly, and have the little bonus pouch in my purse. I am not surprised that I love this subscription, but this box really blew me away!

My Meraki Box Review, May 2018
The little black box has arrived!
I appreciate all the attention to detail in the packaging! A lot of thought has been put into this.
The theme for May is “The Modern Collection”. Yes! Bring on the modern pieces!
Here’s the loot! It is exciting to open each pouch/box separately; each feels like a personal gift.
The Modern Collection boasts pieces with clean lines; perfect for layering and accenting summer looks.
Here were the color/stone choices for this month’s customized piece:
Sodalite
Smoky Quartz
Morganite
Amazonite
The choice was much more difficult for me this month! I like them all! I went with the Smoky Quartz because I figured it would match more jewelry items I have (for layering), and because it is so neutral, will go with more clothing choices as well.

My beaded bracelet selection was made with Grade A Smoky Quartz stones featuring a unique cut. (You can see each stone is different!) It is finished with a sterling silver triangle for the “Modern Collection” theme.
Another great piece! I think I would have loved ANY of the choices this month, and wish I could have chosen them all.
As a powerful grounding and balance stone, Smoky Quartz encourages you to ‘leave your baggage behind’. Um, YES, I DEFINITELY need to do THAT! Ha! You can read more about it’s meaning and healing properties here.
I tend to wear very dark nail polish (even in the Spring/Summer), so the darker pieces are a great compliment to that.
The sterling silver triangle pendant is delicate, but has a statement-like quality to it, which I love! Triangles are quite symbolic, too. If you are interested, you can read about the meanings behind triangles here. I used to roll my eyes and overlook what I called ‘voodoo-hoodoo bullshit’, but as it turns out, meaning and symbolism can be quite important (and powerful) in understanding history, and is also quite fascinating! I have opened my previous-closed mind a bit over the last few years, and as a result, I feel like I am a more stable, grounded, balanced and HAPPIER person! I know it can’t all be attributed to stones (I’ve done a lot of soul-searching work) but it has certainly enhanced my life for the good. I have also acquired some kick-ass jewelry because of it. 😉

This is a simple, interlocking necklace with a unique pendant of modern shapes and angles on a sterling silver chain. I adore it! It also has the same sterling silver triangle as the customized bracelet as part of the “Modern Collection” theme.

I appreciate extender chains.

Here it is on me. Ignore my aging neck and focus on that bee-you-tee-ful bling! Remember, I have a thicker neck, so this is where it falls on me using the highest point on the extender chain.
“Jutland” Hoop Earrings & “Funen” Cage Ear Thread Earrings – Estimated Retail Value $26.99 / $44.99, respectively. (NOTE: Since this is an exclusive item and not offered in their shop, the value is based on similar.)
These threaded earrings are simple and modern with a geometrical ‘cage’ design on a box chain for maximum comfort. Both stunning and fun! And totally my taste. 🙂 I don’t have many threaded-style earrings, so I was thrilled to received another pair!
These cute little suckers are described as ‘a creative twist on your average hoop earrings’ with a modern and simplistic bar. They are small and lightweight and made from SOLID sterling silver. They are very hip and are a great addition to the threaded earrings as well as the modern theme!
Look how cool! Sometimes finding complimentary earrings to wear in my double-pierced ears can be a bit of a challenge, but now that I have My Meraki Box in my life, the choices are coming much more easily! I find myself grabbing for this duo quite often, as well as the earring duo I received last month.
Plantable Flavorful Memories Herb Favor Card – Retail Value $2.10
This was the little ‘thank you’ gift in this month’s My Meraki Box. It was the perfect bonus for me, since not only do I grow herbs for a living, but also love to cook! My packet came with parsely, dill & basil. The paper herb is an awesome concept, too!
May’s My Meraki Box came with 4 pieces of jewelry (plus a bonus gift) for $59.99, so that makes each piece an average of $15. The total estimated retail value of this box is a whopping $169.06, and that is WAY BEYOND my expectations – even if my estimated values are a little off! This month is also way beyond their promised value of $100. Not only do I LOVE everything I received, it was an absolutely incredible value to boot! You just can’t go wrong with this subscription if you like this type of jewelry. I’m totally addicted, and plan to continue my subscription for quite awhile. I’m gonna be totally stylin’ on my summer vacation this year!
