Two things that define my life (materialistically speaking) are books and JEWELRY. When I found My Meraki Box, it was love at first box! It’s time for me to review their April 2019 collection; and it’s fabulous per usual. A little about My Meraki Box – their jewelry is not only unique and trendy, but it is also really high QUALITY. There is a tremendous amount of attention to detail using quality materials, and their passion shows. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know quality is very important to me – especially when it comes to jewelry. I have recently developed an obsession with semi-precious stones, and My Meraki Box is the absolute perfect match for me.
Wristicuffs started as a small, homegrown company and is now an accomplished indie jewelry design company offering several lines of accessories based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada – and their designs have been featured on display and in the gift bags at the 2014 Golden Globe and Emmy’s GBK Celebrity Gift Lounges! They have photos of several celebrities wearing their jewelry, which is fun to see. They became so popular that they decided to offer a monthly jewelry box, so My Meraki Box was born as a way to offer fans new exclusive designs for a greater value.

This month’s theme is “The Tropical Collection”! The information card provided will tell you everything you need to know about your new customized pieces from the April 2019 My Meraki Box.
Warmer weather is coming (for most of us), and this collection was inspired to get you into a tropical state of mind!
Each month, subscribers are given a choice of material or color for one (or more) of the custom jewelry pieces in the upcoming box. This month we got to choose from several different combinations of beads:

Combination #3 – “Sunset”
Combination #4 – “Volcano”
All the jewelry comes beautifully packaged in branded velvet pouches or small boxes, and each month a ‘thank you’ gift is included as well.
Behold the unveiling of the Tropical Collection!

This is a double wrap stretch beaded bracelet, created with my color choice of “Sunset”. I loved them all, but was particularly mesmerized by the blend of oranges, reds, creams and yellows. Three different stones were used to make each of the tropical element-inspired combinations (Sea, Sand, Sunset & Volcano); accented with a sterling silver monstera palm leaf, and sterling silver beads.
Stunning, isn’t it?!? It’s like wearing sunshine. I also think the monstera palm leaf is a fresh new take on the usual suspects for summer images. It gives me a more ethreal ‘botanical’ vibe, which I love. If that makes sense.

The “Monteverde” is a 20″ sterling silver Italian ball chain that features a sterling silver monstera leaf pendant, and the “Tamarindo” is an 18″ sterling silver Italian ball chain that features a coffee bean trivia shell pendant. They are separate necklaces, designed to be layered together, but they can also be worn on their own!
A similar (single) necklace is available in their shop here, but is only 14″.
The layered look is one of my favorites, and these 18″ and 20″ chain lengths are perfect! Delicate, feminine, and a classy match with the ‘Capparis’ bracelet, I will be wearing this duo A LOT this season. Back in January’s “Meditation Collection” I received the hamsa/lotus flower sterling silver necklace layering set, and have been wearing the hell out of it. Now I have a similar style with just a little different design to change it up!

Really loving these! They are lightweight, but sturdy; and fun while still being elegant. The subtly of the design will make wearing all three matching pieces feel nicely coordinated, and not over-done. I tend to wear more studs in the summer, too, and am thrilled to add these to my collection.
A perk you get when subscribing to My Meraki Box: If you don’t have pierced ears (or specify that you don’t wear earrings when you filled out your preferences), an alternative item is included in your box instead. This month, a white coral bracelet was sent in place of the earrings, and I was the lucky dog that received both so that I could you show you!

This very cool tropical statement cuff was created with wide square-cut columns of white coral, and is a first of it’s kind for the My Meraki Box designers.
It’s heavy, but surprisingly comfortable on my wrist, and I think I’m going to pair it with my ‘walk-along-the-beach-at-sunset’ outfit – a one-piece black swimsuit with a colorful sarong tied at the waist!

This month we got a bonus jewelry item, which is ALWAYS A GOOD THING. There is no way to guess what the gift will be, though; I’ve received everything from a box of mouthwatering fudge, to a fair trade head wrap (that is a new fav!), to artisan items like soaps and bath bombs. I’ve enjoyed every.single.one!
This beaded stretch bracelet is made of various shades of coral to create an ombre effect, and definitely fits the tropical theme. It is a bright, cheery, and unique piece! It gives me happy, warm summer vibes. Now we need a matching anklet, hint, hint! CrazyDogMama would love a matching white coral beaded anklet so that I have options to go with this bracelet, as well as the wide cuff white coral bracelet. Thanks in advance! LOL!
