The GEN YZ Box is based out of Canada, and ships at a discounted post rate throughout Canada, and also ships to the US with a $10 shipping rate. All boxes go out around the 1st of each month. You will be billed immediately when signing up, and after that, the monthly subscriptions will renew on the 16th of each month. For 3 and 6 month subscriptions, billing is on the 15th of the 3rd or 6th month respectively.

OK all you GEN Y’s – here’s your box! Did you know that Lady Gaga is Gen Y? (It was news to me.) I’m actually Gen X, but don’t tell anyone. I still enjoy this box. 😉

All the smaller items were packed inside of the purse this month – it was like going through my stocking on Christmas morning! What a great idea…hmmm…
We have a cute little Boston Terrier head on the insert card here, much to CrazyDogMama’s delight! Dogs are always welcome. No matter what.

It just doesn’t get any cuter than this purse! Look at that face! With the little heart eyes! This bag is soft vegan leather and holds quite a bit without being too big or overwhelming to carry – it’s actually the perfect size.
There is a pocket in the back for your phone (or for whatever you may need to get at quick), and the shoulder strap is adjustable.
It even has a zipper!
This purse looks perfect paired with leggings and t-shirt (or tunic); which is my outfit of choice pretty much every day.
Drake General Store 2-Pack Women’s Socks “Cactus”– Retail Value $20 (I could not find these exact patterned socks, but you can find other similar socks from Drake General Store here and here.)
Socks! Socks are always a good idea. I’m barefoot all summer, but in the Fall and Winter I live in socks, so these are a welcome addition.
It is a two-pack! Also pairs well with leggings and t-shirts. I’m just sayin’.

Pins! Been getting a ton of pins in the Gen YZ boxes of late to add to my collection, and these are pretty dang cute. Look at the alpaca!! He’s my fave. 😉 So this is how I style my pins: on my beanie hats, and on my beach bags! Mr. alpaca is currently on my pom hat from last month.

Woodland Twilights Squirrel Nightlight by Karma Kiss – Retail Value $14 (Found here for $10.13)
OMG, I love this little nightlight!! I grew up in Washington State, and there was a squirrel that my family named ‘Bushy’ who hung out with us all the time. He would take nuts right out of our hands! So, this little guy will be named ‘Bushy’ after my childhood buddy. He will reside on the nightstand next to my bed.
Made of white ceramic, he would be perfect decor for a mountain cabin, don’t you think? My dream is to retire and buy a cabin in the woods somewhere.

More cacti!! Hooray!! Dale (my sweetie) has a rustic place along the Colorado river out in the middle of the desert that we go to quite often. There is a cactus garden there, and I’ve been tasked with decorating the inside. Sooooo, these colorful laser-cut felt coasters will be adorning the espresso machine and coffee-drinking area! SO FREAKING PERFECT! I also have a bunch of photos I’ve taken out there of different types of cacti and Joshua trees, etc. that I am getting framed, so these adorable coasters are such a great addition to my theme. OK, so these bookmarks couldn’t be more ME if they tried! Bears, Mountains, and Trees, Oh My! It is no secret that I LIVE for books. (I am a Bibliophile of Biblical proportions.) These are probably my favorite items in the whole box because I’m such a book nerd. And the mountains are calling, and I must go. Soon. I miss the wilderness. All this sand and beach stuff in Southern California is great and all, but I need some trees and some SNOW ASAP!
These awesome magnetic page markers are not only pretty, but they will NOT fall out! Little Jack, the paper bookmark thief, will be DENIED!

These are so cool – a perfect subscription box discovery item!
The total retail value of November’s GEN Y (Main) Box is $100.20 – which is fantastic for a $44.99 box! Even finding some of the items on sale/cheaper elsewhere, the value came to $81.33 – which is still way above the cost of the box. I think you would have a hard time beating the $44.99 price with sales tax and individual shipping no matter what; not to mention you wouldn’t have the fun of the surprise curation! There were 9 items, which is more than the promised 7 items, and you could look at it like $5 per item. Pretty sweet deal, right?!?
I really enjoyed the outdoorsy theme (+ dogs!) – it suited me quite well! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more items to add to my future mountain cabin!
