Beeswax is another must-have staple in your essential oil arsenal, and these little pellets are MUCH easier to use than the solid blocks – especially for measuring. There are white and yellow varieties, and Simply Earth has included the white variety, which is my preference – so, yay! Just like the coconut oil, you melt it down, add your additional ingredients, and let cool. Beeswax gives a more substantial solid (or dense) end result because it has a much higher melting point.

Here is the first glance at the February 2021 Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box! The oils are also packed really nicely in sturdy cardboard pockets to decrease the chances of spillage or breakage.

“Lava” is a BRAND NEW blend from Simply Earth! However, it is not yet available in their shop – you can only get it in this month’s box. It is an energizing, stimulating & cooling blend of Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Ho Wood and Sandalwood essential oils, and smells absolutely delicious! The blood orange really stands out to me, and invigorates me while I do my household chores. This is a great combo, and creates a wonderful diffusing experience.
Simply Earth Happy Joy Essential Oil Blend (15 mL) – Retail Value $12.99
This blend is a combination of Geranium, Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, & Ylang Ylang essential oils, and was created to brighten your mood and uplift your spirits. OMG, I am SO OBSESSED WITH THIS BLEND!! I am not kidding. At first I thought, “that’s an odd blend”, and then I put a few drops onto my wrists. The whole rest of the day I kept sniffing my wrists – LOL! I couldn’t stop. And guess what? I’m happy!! It works! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!
Cautions: This oil is safe for kids (10+), however it is NOT recommended for using during breastfeeding or pregnancy. Possibly phototoxic.
Simply Earth Geranium Essential Oil (15 mL) – Retail Value $16.99
Geranium was used by ancient Egyptians to treat tumors and then by Europeans to treat a wider array of conditions including dysentery, hemorrhoids, menstrual conditions, and even diarrhea. Today Geranium is used in perfumery and as a flavoring agent in foods. It is often confused with rose due to its rosy scent and nickname, Rose Geranium. The benefits of Geranium also include: uplifts mood, balances skin, and relieves tension & stress.
Geranium essential oil seemed really strong to me when I first started using essential oils, but now I consider it a favorite. It blends really well with many other different oils and it just plain makes me happy.
Cautions: This oil is safe for kids (2+), and is safe for use during breastfeeding and pregnancy, as well as for dogs, but NOT cats. The special Dilution Rate is: Kids 1% or less, Adults 5% or less. Storage life up to 2 years.
Simply Earth Basil Essential Oil (15 mL) – Retail Value $14.99
Sweet basil got its name from ‘Basileus’, a Greek word for ‘king’. That’s why today it is considered as the king of herbs! Basil has long been used in ‘Ayurvedic’ treatment – a holistic body healing which was first practiced in Ancient India. The benefits and uses of Basil Essential Oil include: Strengthens self confidence, clears the mind, uplifts, reduces severity of vomiting and upset stomach, assists in preventing gas, and relieves head tension.
Honesty, at first I thought this oil had an ‘odd’ scent, although I cook with it often. However, the more I use it, and especially as I experiment blending it with other oils, it has grown on me! I love that this month’s box included it with Geranium, because they go REALLY REALLY well together!
Cautions: This oil is safe for kids (10+), but is NOT safe for use during breastfeeding or pregnancy. It is OK for dogs, but NOT cats. It has a special dilution rate of 5% or less.

Each month there is a recipe for a roll-on, and this month’s roll-on is for keeping hope alive for tomorrow! Which I seriously need right now. But I digress. This blend smells AWESOME; I’ll definitely be repeating this recipe! Roll-on bottle blends are great for keeping in my purse or car for a quick pick-me-up. This recipe requires items from the bonus box – fractionated coconut oil and a glass roller.
The labels look so nice on these rollers! You have to trim this particular label a tiny bit to fit the bottle, but I’m loving the peel-off’s.

Diffuser blend recipes are included every month, and if you are a fan, the recipe includes a master blend you can make to have on hand. The recipe card gives you the ingredient amounts you need to put directly into you diffuser, as well as for a master blend. Making master blends is a great way to have your favorite blends ready to go! Being that I’m completely obsessed with this month’s oils, I didn’t even hesitate to add this one to my collection!

This is my favorite project this month! I’m in love with the prism bottle, and I keep it on my desk since I’m bathing in this blend right now. I could make rollers all day every day – so easy & fun! Sorry about the blurry photo – don’t know what happened there – ack.
Little baby roller ball! To use, roll onto the pulse points (wrists, neck, back of knees), but make sure to test on the back on the hand first.

This recipe called for some ingredients that most people can find in their kitchen – baking soda and sea salt – plus the fractionated coconut oil from the big bonus box.
I love scrubs because I have the roughest heels on the planet! Being that Geranium essential oil makes me so very happy, I’m excited to try this dry scrub out during my next shower! It is super easy to make – just mix everything together easy-peazy!
I used a glass jar I had on hand to keep the scrub in, but a small Tupperware container would work just fine.
This would make a great gift!

I had to go to the store to get yogurt, because yuck! I don’t eat that stuff. But I’ll put it on my face no problem! LOL! I love the name of this project – anything with ‘Mermaid’ in the title just works for me. You also need honey, but I’m a honey-aholic, so that wasn’t an issue; I get the industrial bottle from Costco.
Also super easy to make (all the recipes are pretty simple) – just mix and go!
Yup – the Green Goblin lives. No makeup, hair bun, army green goop, stupid look on my face. It’s all good. My other half enthusiastically agreed to do this mask with me! He was impressed, but refused his photo being taken for the review. Party pooper.
It smells great, gets all tingly, and then your face feels so soft and clean! Win!

I couldn’t make this one because of my broken spray bottle. Sigh, cry, pout, kicking dirt.
So what do you think of the February 2021 Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box? It’s my favorite one to date!! Seriously! I can’t get over how much I love this month’s oils, and the projects were just spot-on for me. I am consistently impressed by the quality and usability of this subscription at such a reasonable price. The total (current) retail value of the recipe box is $67.03, (not including the recipe cards or the labels), PLUS, an extra value of $44.84 for the bonus box items!! I think that is absolutely amazing for only $39.99! That really is a HUGE value comparatively to other essential oils out there of equal quality, and it is so handy to be able to make so many different recipes without having to buy a bunch of additional expensive ingredients.
