It’s time for the June 2019 My Meraki Box review – hooray! My favorite bling-makers. My Meraki Box is a monthly handmade jewelry subscription that is not only unique and trendy, but also really high QUALITY. There is a tremendous amount of attention to detail using quality materials, and their passion shows. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know quality is very important to me – especially when it comes to my bling. I was hooked after my first box, and have loved every single month!
Wristicuffs started as a small, homegrown business and is now an accomplished indie jewelry design company offering several lines of accessories that is based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Their pieces have been featured on display, and in the gift bags at the 2014 Golden Globe and Emmy’s GBK Celebrity Gift Lounges! They have photos of several celebrities wearing their jewelry on their website, which is fun to see. Wristicuffs designs became so popular that they decided to offer a monthly jewelry subscription box, and My Meraki Box was born as a way to offer fans new exclusive designs for a greater value.

To ensure you receive jewelry pieces that you will love for years to come, you will be able to log in and select your preference of either leather, gemstone or metal color options. We will use this information to create customized jewelry just for you in a design and color you are sure to love! Each month will feature 3+ brand new Wristicuffs designs, exclusive to My Meraki Box. Every month My Meraki Box will contain jewelry pieces handcrafted in our studio with a minimum $100 retail value.
All metal is hypo-allergenic, lead-free, nickel-free, and cadmium-free.
To show our appreciation, subscribers to My Meraki Box will enjoy special perks. Benefits include special members-only exclusive sales, a 15% off everyday discount in the Wristicuffs shop, and a complimentary custom piece every year to celebrate your anniversary with My Meraki Box.

The little black box of treasures!
Meraki (v): to do something with soul, creativity, or love; when you leave a piece of yourself in your work.
“The Minimalist Collection” is the theme this month, and I get all kinds of excited about MINIMALISM! I know I must seem totally over-the-top to most people, but at my core is a minimalist. I do love to make a statement too, but there is something that always brings me back to simple, yet classy pieces that stand the test of time.
The product information card provided gives you all the details about your new customized pieces from the June 2019 My Meraki Box.
Each month, subscribers are given a choice of material or color for one (or more) of the custom jewelry pieces in the upcoming box. This month we got to choose from a variety of semi-precious gemstones:
Choice #1 – Smoky Quartz
Choice #2 – Garnet
Choice #3 – Blue Topaz
Choice #4 – Amethyst
Sometimes they change it up, but generally you can expect three (3) main pieces of custom jewelry, and one (1) stacking ring in each My Meraki Box; all packaged beautifully.
NOTE: Every box used to include a bonus ‘Thank You’ item such as a fashionable key chain or bath product, but last month it was announced that they have now decided to do a sterling silver stackable ring each month as the gift moving forward. Over time as you accumulate these rings, you will be able to mix & match them to create a personalized stack. I thought this was the best decision EVER!
The Minimalist Collection revealed! Let’s take a closer look at each item…

Beads, beads, and more beads! I think this is the first time I’ve received a bracelet with smaller (gemstone) beads from My Meraki Box, and I’m loving it’s vibe and the diversity of colors. There is so much going on here – two dozen gemstones were used to create this triple stacking bracelet including amethyst, aquamarine, garnet, moonstone, smoky quartz and Botswana agate – mixed into a pattern with sterling silver beads and various other accents such as a sterling silver raindrop charm, a gemstone charm, and a twisted sterling silver tube.
Each bracelet is it’s own entity, so you can wear them individually or stacked together.
Because the beads are small, this bracelet makes more of a ‘quiet’ or minimal statement, and the variety of colors allows for many different styling options. Think of how it might look with a solid red top, or visualize it with a black or white t-shirt.
You never have to worry about fit with My Meraki Box, your sizes are recorded upon subscribing, and you can update your info any time. I have large wrists, and it is such a treat to have bracelets that wear comfortably and don’t cut my circulation off!
This bracelet is really, really pretty on, and features some of my favorite gemstones – such a unique piece!

This is the very definition of classy elegance right here. Featuring the gemstone of your choice, this dainty pendant is showcased on an Italian sterling silver chain. I love me some smoky quartz, so this was a no-brainer, but I was drooling over the garnet, too! We need add-ons! Hint, hint! 😉
I’ve never seen a design quite like this, and it’s really lovely! It is hard to capture in photos, but the stone really sparkles in the light, and it is so unassuming, yet catches your eye. It’s perfect for the minimalist theme, and it is also a good length to layer with some of my other sterling silver necklaces for a different look.

We have a matching pair of stud earrings with your gemstone choice set in sterling silver! Nothing says minimalist better than studs, and these are a GREAT compliment to the necklace. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
A My Meraki Box perk: If you don’t have pierced ears (or specify that you don’t want earrings when you filled out your preferences), an alternative item is included in your box instead.
I wasn’t big on stud earrings when I was younger, but I adore them now. These are a nice size, too – not too big, not too small, and they don’t get caught on my hair. Bonus!
Here is a spontaneous selfie I took wearing the necklace & earrings whilst (whilst!) driving around in the Sonoran desert a couple of weeks ago. I got a little creative and layered this month’s necklace with the Monstera leaf necklace from April’s ‘Tropical Collection‘, and a long quartz necklace that I will talk about at the end of this review! I love how versatile and interchangeable all the My Meraki Box jewelry is.

So how are you feeling about the June 2019 My Meraki Box? Are you shocked that it is another MAJOR win for me?!? This month’s ‘Minimalist Collection’ came with 3 pieces of high quality custom handmade jewelry + the bonus stacking ring for $59.99, making each exclusive item an average of $20, or $15 each if you factor in the bonus ring. The total (US) retail value of this box is $229.97, which is WAY above their promised minimum value of $100! I’ve been getting this box over a year now, and the value has never been below $150, plus I wear every single piece I’ve received on a regular basis. That is incredible in my mind, and I couldn’t be happier with this subscription. My Meraki Box beat out all of the other jewelry subscription boxes I have received, and made my elite top 10. For financial reasons (and sheer volume), I had to scale down from the massive amount of product I had coming in each month – so I think that says a lot about the subscriptions I decided to keep!
BONUS REVIEW – CUSTOM WRISTICUFFS SET!
‘THE CRAZYDOGMAMA’ Clear Quartz Set– Retail Value $149.98 (Necklace $59.99 / Earrings $89.99)
NOTE: This was a custom order made for me by the Wristicuffs team, but I believe they may have a few pieces of the clear quartz left if you feel the need to be a total copy cat. 
Okay, so it’s not really called ‘The CrazyDogMama Clear Quartz Set’, but since it was a custom order, I took the liberty of naming it. It is SO ME, and I love it SO MUCH.
I tried, but cannot do these pieces justice in photos. In real life, they are just STUNNING. This necklace showcases the biggest, and most gorgeous clear quartz I’ve ever seen at about 1.5 inches long, housed in sterling silver on an insane 30 inch sterling silver box chain.
The matching clear quartz earrings are the same size as the necklace pendant, and encased in sterling silver. They hang on sterling silver hooks, too, of course.
They aren’t as heavy as they look, but they ARE substantial, and make quite a statement! The quartz catches the light and makes me shimmer and sparkle all day long.
Here I am in all my new pieces! I am a walking dichotomy per usual; minimalist dainty jewelry, along side statement jewelry. Oh, and then there is my tacky Fitbit watch that ruins everything, but is totally necessary for my weight loss regimen. Oh well – LOL!
