Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box Review, November 2021
The November 2021 Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box! I want to note that you only get the free ‘Big Bonus Box’ with your first box, and then with every 6th box – which I have to say is a phenomenal perk! The Big Bonus Box includes additional supplies needed to make the recipes in the subsequent boxes, and you can see my review of it here.

The oils are packed really nicely in sturdy cardboard pockets to decrease the chances of spillage or breakage.
Each monthly box comes with 4 essential oils + 6 recipe cards, and additional items to complete the recipes. Quite impressive for the low cost of the box! Simply Earth is able to cut out the middle-man and work directly with the farmers to give you a more affordable value. This month is themed “GIFT GIVING”. Giving my essential oil projects away as gifts is one my favorite parts of doing them!

Each month there is a recipe for a roll-on, and this month’s roll-on will help support an ‘attitude of gratitude’! Roll-on bottle blends are great for travel and/or keeping on your bedside table. This recipe requires items from the bonus box – fractionated coconut oil and a glass roller.
Best way to describe this scent, is a citrus-y Christmas tree! It is fresh and clean and makes me want to go outside. I’m thankful for essential oils!
These glass rollers come with steel roller balls – which are much better than the plastic ones you sometimes see. To use, roll onto the pulse points (wrists, neck, back of knees), but make sure to test on the back on the hand first.

You’ll need the almond oil from the bonus box, and Epsom salt from your kitchen. If you have pink Himalayan salt – bonus!
Super easy to mix together, and it smells like a sweet forest! Perfect for a serene bath.
Look how cute these are! The mix filled up both tubes perfectly. One for me, the other for a lucky lady on my Christmas list!
Simply Earth Oatmeal Cookie Sugar Scrub Recipe Card
Recipe Project: Oatmeal Cookie Sugar Scrub
You’ll need brown sugar, oatmeal and honey from your kitchen, and the coconut oil from the bonus box for this project.
I’m really glad the recipe card said “DO NOT EAT” because, umm…it looks and smells pretty darn yummy! I almost lifted the spatula up to my mouth – it’s a reflex I have.
Works great – not only does it make your skin soft, but you’ll smell like a fresh baked oatmeal cookie! Could be dangerous. LOL!
Simply Earth DIY Air Dry Clay Diffuser Ornament Recipe Card
Recipe Project: DIY Air Dry Clay Diffuser Ornament
You’ll need corn starch, baking soda, a rolling pin, a cookie cutter, a toothpick or chopstick, and some ribbon/string for this project.
This project started out pretty simple; melt the ingredients, roll into a ball, then roll out like dough. No problem.
But…after using the cookie cutter, it was a bit challenging to navigate the ornament without cracking it in the process. I managed to create these masterpieces after about 3 tries. If you mess up, you just roll it back up and re-do. I used my dog’s paw to indent on the dough for a couple of them. Let me tell you what an ordeal THAT was…haha.
I put a damp paper towel over them so that they didn’t dry too fast and crack again, but only two ornaments made it in the end. They turned out cute, though! I don’t have any paints, but it would be fun to color these.
Simply Earth Candy Lip Balm Recipe Card
Recipe Project: Candy Lip Balm
You’ll need the beeswax, almond oil and coconut oil from the bonus box for this project.
I used a double boiler to melt the coconut oil, menthol and beeswax together (pictured). Double boilers are cheap and I highly recommend getting one for making balms, salves and lotions.
Using a tiny funnel helps when filling the tubes, if you have one. If not, a glass measuring cup with a pouring lip works, too.
Lip balms are fun to make, fun to use, and make terrific gifts! Again, one for me, and one for someone on my Christmas list. Don’t forget to use a gift tag!
So what do you think of the November 2021 Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box? My favorite project this month was the Winter Joy Bath Salts! Super easy to make, smell wonderful, and they are so pretty. I’m well on my way to having stocking stuffers covered for the holidays, too! I look forward to my box each month, and I am consistently impressed by the quality and usability of this subscription at such a reasonable price. The total retail value this month came to $62.93 (not including the plastic tubes or gift tags) – which far exceeds the cost of the box for $39.99! All of this is a HUGE value comparatively to other essential oils out there of equal quality, and it is so handy to be able to make so many different recipes without having to buy a bunch of additional expensive ingredients.
This subscription is a great way to learn and build up an essential oil collection that isn’t so overwhelming, and the recipes are so easy & fun! IMHO you absolutely can’t go wrong if you enjoy essential oils and DIY projects.
